Casa de la Luna Loca is a privately owned 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom villa on the quiet south end of Isla Mujeres, Mexico, sleeping up to 6 guests in three identical king suites, each with its own en-suite bathroom and air conditioning.
The house has a courtyard swimming pool, a rooftop patio and bar with an ocean-view dipping pool, an outdoor shower tucked into tropical plants, and a gas grill on a private patio. Where the house sits, honestly
Casa de la Luna Loca is in a residential neighborhood on the south half of the island, a 6-minute walk from the snorkeling at Garrafón de Castilla and about a mile from Playa Lancheros. This is not a walk-to-Playa-Norte location, and we say so plainly: Playa Norte is 4.3 miles north, an easy golf cart cruise on a 5-mile island.
The trade is worth naming. You give up stumbling distance to the busy beach strip and get sunrise from your own rooftop, a pool nobody else is using, and streets where the loudest thing most nights is the ocean. There is live music at the restaurant behind the house during the day, and the villa's doors are solid enough that guests consistently report hearing nothing inside.
Who takes care of you
The house is managed on-island by a property manager, Alain. Guests name him in review after review. Through IMVR concierge services, guests can also arrange golf cart rental, grocery delivery before arrival, private chefs, in-home spa services, and excursions.
